Road Resurfacing Operations Scheduled for Week of September 9, 2019 - Updated

Road resurfacing operations are scheduled for Shady Avenue, Willard Road, a portion of West Princeton Road, and a portion of Bragg Hill Road near the Ashburnham town-line.
Paving Operations: Road Closure

Weather permitting on Monday, September 9, 2019 Shady Avenue will be closed to thru-traffic for road resurfacing operations during the morning hours. In the afternoon the paving operations will relocate from Shady Avenue to Bragg Hill Road. The work is scheduled to take place between 7:00AM and 3:00PM. Please plan ahead for travel and it is highly recommended that you seek an alternate route of travel.

The Town’s contractor, EH Perkins, will also be paving Willard Road, and a portion of West Princeton Road. Willard Road will be closed to thru traffic; West Princeton Road will have a one-lane alternating traffic pattern while the roadway resurfacing is in progress. The resurfacing work is anticipated to take place during the week of September 9, 2019. The work dates are still being updated at this time, and more details will be provided when the paving schedule is finalized. Be sure to periodically check www.westminster-ma.gov for news and announcements regarding this ongoing road resurfacing work and other construction projects.

To reduce impacts as much as possible, it is encouraged that motorists and pedestrians seek alternate routes and expect traffic delays as well as possible road closures to facilitate efficient work. The paving process is dependent on good weather, and no equipment breakdowns. Unfortunately, this type of work is susceptible to the weather, unexpected equipment failures, and unforeseen site conditions.
