Roadway Resurfacing Operations are Scheduled to Begin on May 26, 2020

The milling and paving of East Road and Gatehouse Road will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Construction activities are scheduled to take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00AM and 4:00PM. Please plan ahead for travel and expect delays in the area. Roadway resurfacing operations are anticipated to last approximately three weeks. A one-lane, alternating traffic pattern will be utilized through the work zone while this project is in progress.

During construction, delays are to be expected as well as rough road surfaces and raised structures. All motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone with an added emphasis that motorcycles should use extra caution due to any uneven and milled surface conditions. To reduce traffic impacts as much as possible, it is encouraged that the public seek alternate routes and expect potential road closures to facilitate efficient work. The paving process is dependent on good weather, and no equipment breakdowns. However, this type of work can be susceptible to the weather, unexpected equipment failures, and unforeseen site conditions.
