Whitmanville Road Bridge Construction – Beginning Wednesday, May 5, 2021

The Whitmanville Road bridge construction will begin next week on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Whitmanville Road will be closed from South Ashburnham Road to Old Gardner Road. All access, including pedestrian traffic, will be directed from Oakmont Avenue at the railroad bridge. Temporary traffic signals will remain installed with the road closure expected to last throughout August. Schools have been notified, and if required will update bus stops. 

To reduce traffic impacts as much as possible, it is encouraged that the public plan to take an alternate route to bypass Whitmanville Road. If you have any questions or concerns about this work, please contact the Department of Public Works at (978) 874-5572.
