Winter Storm Warning in Effect: 2/23/2023

Caution: Icy Roads

A winter storm warning will remain in effect until midnight on Friday February 24, 2023. Light snowfall is expected to change to rain by mid-to-late Thursday afternoon (2/23/2023) and will mix and turn into sleet. Any lingering freezing drizzle will end shortly after midnight on Friday (2/24/2023). Icy conditions are anticipated to last through Friday morning.

Please allow extra time for travel and plan for slippery road conditions which could impact your commute this evening!

  • When traveling on the roads during inclement weather, use caution and take it slow! Give sanders and plows space to do their job.
  • Clear snow, sleet, and ice from sidewalks and curb ramps abutting your property. Don't shovel or push snow into the street. If you do, the Town may fine you.

The Westminster Department of Public Works would like to remind you to stay connected this winter. Visit the Town's Emergency Preparedness webpage to learn more: https://www.westminster-ma.gov/department-public-works/pages/emergency-preparedness
