Winter Storm Warning In Effect Until 3/15/2023: Curbside Recycling Pick-up Delayed

Regularly scheduled recycling pick-up will be delayed by one day due to the impending inclement weather in the forecast for 3-13-2023. Waste Management service will return to its regular schedule next week (3-20-2023).
Winter Storm Warning 3-15-2023

A winter storm warning will remain in effect from 8:00PM on Monday, March 13, 2023 until 8:00AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Approximately 10"-14" inches of snow is anticipated to accumulate. Steadier snowfall is anticipated to begin around 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Monday night. On Tuesday (3-14-2023), snow is expected fall up to 1" inch per hour at times during the morning, but will peak between 1"-2" inches per hour during the afternoon. A combination of heavy wet snow and gusty winds can cause power outages.

Please allow extra time for travel and plan for slippery road conditions during this timeframe!

  • When traveling on the roads during inclement weather, use caution and take it slow! Give sanders and plows space to do their job.
  • Clear snow, sleet, and ice from sidewalks and curb ramps abutting your property. Don't shovel or push snow into the street. If you do, the Town may fine you.

Recycling Collection Schedule Delayed by One Day

Regularly scheduled recycling collection will be delayed by one day during the week of March 13, 2023 due to the impending inclement weather in the forecast. Please note, Thursday's route will be collected on Friday, and Friday's route on Saturday. Waste Management service will return to its regular schedule next week.

Here are some steps you can take to prepare for your service:

  • Please ensure your containers are available for collection.
  • Help the plows clear the streets by keeping trash and recycle bins away from the curb during snow removal operations. Every attempt will be made to collect your material; however, the driver will not be able to dig out snow-covered trash and recycle bins or enter into properties.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Should you have any questions, please contact Waste Management directly at (800) 972-4545
