Liquor Commission
The Liquor Commission is responsible for issuing various types of alcohol licenses, and adopting and enforcing rules and regulations pertaining to such licenses as well as local ordinances and laws. Additionally, the commission acts on complaints received from public safety officials, relative to alleged violations of its rules and regulations, and Massachusetts General Law. Complaints are investigated, and if warranted, a hearing is held. If an establishment is found in violation, the commission is able to modify, suspend, revoke, or reduce the amount of hours on the establishment’s license.
