Regarding the Public Hearing to be held by the Westminster Board of Health on FEBRUARY 8, 2023:
At a regularly scheduled meeting held on February 1, 2023, the Board of Health discussed a conflict in schedule for the Public Hearing to discuss changes to our Well and Septic regulations (Regulations for Subsurface Sewage Disposal Systems Ch. 245; and Regulations for Private Wells). This Public Hearing was advertised via the Gardner News as per MGL Ch. 40A Section 11. This ran on January 13, 2023, and again on January 20, 2023.
Due to schedule conflicts the Board of Health will be opening the hearing on FEBRUARY 8th, 2023 as planned, however no discussion will occur as the Board will vote to continue the meeting to FEBRUARY 22, 2023 at 4:30pm located at the Senior Center (69 West Main St). They will then close the hearing and proceed with other scheduled matters.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to receive input from the Public. There will be no vote at this meeting to accept the changes to the new regulations, as there are a other legal processes we must follow. This meeting is solely to garner information and opinions from the public.
