There we will have recitals of the Gettysburg Address and Flanders Field, a guest speaker and musical performances. Festivities conclude with a chicken BBQ open to the public at the VFW – best to get tickets in advance as they often sell out!

Flag Day (June 14th)

Scouts and Veterans join on the VFW Field to ceremoniously retire old and unserviceable flags with solemn respect over a burn barrel. Town residents are encourage to drop off their old, frayed, torn and unserviceable United States of America Flags at the VFW or Veterans Services Officers office any time before the 14th so that it may be properly retired.

Veterans and Scouts meet at the VFW Veterans Monument just prior to 11am to hold a period of reflection and thanks to all Veterans who have served and are still serving.
