Affordable Housing Summit

The cost of housing has been a serious issue in Massachusetts for quite some time, especially for low and moderate-income families. Westminster has seen quite a few new homes built in the last decade, but how do we stack up in terms of providing affordable housing?

Please join the Planning Board and staff from the Massachusetts Housing Partnership to learn more about affordable housing as we attempt to answer questions such as

  • What is the state of affordable housing in Massachusetts?

  • What does the term "affordable housing" mean?

  • How much affordable housing does Westminster have?

  • How much affordable housing should Westminster have?

  • What options can the Town pursue to increase its amount of affordable housing?

    All this and more will be discussed at the November 2nd Affordable Housing Summit.
