Town Farm Road Water Main Replacement Project to Begin on September 27, 2021

On September 27, 2021, the Westminster Water Department will begin the construction of a new water main on Town Farm Road. The work will start at North Common Road and continue to #91 Town Farm Road. This project is scheduled to last approximately 8-10 weeks, and the Contractor will work between the hours of 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday.

During this project, a traffic detour will be put in place on North Common Road heading south on Town Farm Road. Northbound traffic will have egress through the work zone with possible delays. Motorists may wish to seek alternated routes during construction hours.

Beginning on Monday, September 27, 2021, there will be a temporary water service interruption starting at 9:00AM in the project area. Residences on North Common Road, East Gardner Road, Syd Smith Road and Blueberry Hill Lane will be without water for approximately 4 hours.

Temporary service interruptions may occur throughout the duration of this project. At times, construction activities may cause a reduction in water pressure and discolored water for residences and businesses within the vicinity of the work zone. The discoloration of the water will be temporary and is not harmful. Please note that your water should clear up after running the cold water tap for a short time period of time.
