Westminster Intersection Soon to be Converted into All-way Stop

Work is scheduled to take place on Knower Road, Carter Road and Frog Hollow Road during the week of May 15, 2023.
All-way stop: Knower Road, Carter Road and Frog Hollow Road

The intersection of Knower Road, Carter Road and Frog Hollow Road will be transformed into the new traffic pattern on during the week of May 15, 2023. Currently, drivers on Knower Road do not have to stop; when this work is complete, all drivers coming to the intersection will be required to stop.

This is an effective and cost-efficient way to improve safety of the intersection and reduce the risk of serious crashes as well as mitigate concerns with the current traffic speeds in the area. Work will include the installation of new signage and pavement markings in preparation for the traffic pattern changes. Drivers, after coming to a stop, will continue to be able to proceed straight or turn right or left.

We understand the scheduled roadwork will create a short disruption to the traveling public, but it will ultimately provide a safer and better roadway for us all. Should you have any questions, please contact the Westminster Department of Public Works at (978) 874-5572.
